Hi there! I'm Heidi, and I'm the one you'll forever see behind the camera.

I've always been drawn to the art of photography and the way it allows us to capture a taste of the best moments in our lives forever. As someone who loves working with kids (and vice versa), I naturally gravitated toward newborn and family photography. It's been a joyous gift in my life for 30 years, and I'm proud to use that expertise to deliver masterful, cheery photos for my clients along with a professional and low-stress experience.

I spent much of my career, 20 years, working for Olan Mills Photography in its heyday. I was hired as a photographer before rising through the ranks to become a Vice President, guiding 1700 employees in delivering the best experience we could. Of course, the itch to be behind the camera was always there, so I was excited to launch my studio in 2013.

Since then, I've worked with clients ranging from newborns to corporate professionals to provide high-quality portraits with a personal touch. As a proud mother of two and grandmother of two, I've always had a passion for working with kids, so I specialize in newborn photos and family portraits. I always find a way to get the perfect poses and expressions for kids and families of all ages, all while having a great time and making sure my clients' families do too.

I aim to provide not only a boutique session but an overall professional experience and transparency throughout the process. I love getting to know my clients, many of whom have become lifelong friends who have given me the honor of commemorating their families’ journeys from weddings to births to childhood milestones.

I take classes every year on the latest advancements and techniques, providing clients with a combination of decades of experience and cutting-edge trends. The result is one gallery after another of bright, airy, cheerful photos that fit my client's needs to a tee. I prioritize quality over speed because your family's precious memories deserve that care and attention. I'm proud to also be one of the only photographers in the area with another experienced photographer by my side: Julia Godfrey, who spent 15 years with Olan Mills Portrait Studios.

As much joy as I get from my work, I love to make the most of my free time too. I'm a social butterfly who's never met a stranger, and I make use of every opportunity to live and laugh. I'm a sucker for great coffee and Zumba classes, and I'm always up for a trip to my favorite destinations like the Bahamas, Jamaica, Destin, Gatlinburg, or Panama City.
